Earlier this year, we worked with independent distillery house 55 Above to create a new series of bottle labels for its handcrafted spirits, helping to re-establish their line of products for both new and existing audiences.

Designing a classic, contemporary product label that’s perfectly on-brand

Recognised as being one of the country’s leading independent producers of quality spirits, 55 Above required a refresh of its existing bottle labels. It was felt that the original designs did not effectively communicate the product qualities to target audiences, nor did they accurately represent the overall brand identity in ways that would be important and appealing to audiences.

From the outset, we knew exactly where the visual style needed to be, taking inspiration from the art-deco aesthetic that conveyed all the elements of a classic, well-established product, while also introducing contemporary elements in order to bring it up to date for modern audiences.
